How To Build On Eternity In Business

Want to know how to build on eternity ... in business?

There’s a book that I read most evenings before I go to sleep.

From it, you can draw significant insight for personal and professional fulfillment. For me, I find it fun to take the lessons within and twist them towards my business.

Some days I relate to more than others; others I have seemingly no clue what is being said.

There’s one day, in particular, that I always flip to for reference. In fact, this page is part of a larger lesson that I give for many of my clients in business-character development.

Let’s dive on in…

Day: May 7

Lesson: Building on Eternity

Statement One: In the final analysis, people are not going to laugh at Him and say, “This man began to build and was not able to finish”.

Statement Two: The conditions are strict, but they are glorious.

It’s quotes like these that drive my purpose to help others in their pursuit of success in business.

I have found that there are two main reasons behind this:

1. It pulls at your motivational strings. It forces you to take a deep look at yourself and at your business, as if they are one. And when it’s all said and done, are you giving people the opportunity to laugh you and your business, to say “I told you so”, and to say that you began to build but were not able to finish? Or are you giving people the opportunity to look at what you’ve accomplished and say, “Wow. Now there is a man who began to build something special, and was able to finish.”

That’s the purpose behind this quote: it should poke at your character, your drive, your commitment and your purpose.

2. It is purpose-driven. Which is important because I believe that to build on eternity in business - to make something built to last - is to have a purpose. And since you’re here, you already know that your purpose is A) to be an entrepreneur, and B) to help others. If you know your purpose, then you are already two steps ahead of your competition.

The only reason that these people are known as those who began to build but were not able to finish, is because of their character. That’s it. It might seem like a simple answer to a complex scenario, but it’s the truth. If you had the highest of character and had a driven purpose to go through the trials and tribulations that come with starting and growing a business, then failure is not an option for you. It’s just not.

So these people who don’t have character, who aren’t loyal, aren’t committed, aren’t humble, or responsible… these are the people who fail.

These are the people who began to build, but were not able to finish.

The conditions are strict, but they are glorious.

Which one are you?
